Walter Fleming Catawba Valley Pottery Candlestick

Walter Fleming is the senior potter of the Catawba Valley, turning pots outside of Statesville, NC.  He began turning in the late 1980's, learning a few tricks of the trade from Burlon Craig.  He learned swirl backward being lefthanded, hence his swirl pieces are going in the opposite direction of all other potters that work in the Valley.  This particular candlestick being offered is a fine alkaline glaze pot from the early 2000's.  Stands 6 inches tall and excellent condition.
