Marcus Sanders, Master Potter of the Catawba and
one of their most elite artists, created a sunbowl designed bowl. There is a triple snake incised design. Also decorated with Marcus' name 2 Feathers. Marcus,
born in 1960 and grandson of Arzada Sanders, rarely works in clay now except when
the spirit moves him. The level of burnishing (or rubbing) and incised
decoration makes this figural incredibly attractive. Dated 2002. Mint condition.
