Chad Smith Ring Face Jug

As featured on southernpots.com, the pottery of Chad Smith is a wonderful, relatively new addition to the Catawba Valley tradition. Recently at the 'Hickory' or Catawba Valley Pottery Festival, Chad sold 41/45 pots turned and fired for the show (and then sold the remaining four on the following day). This ring face jug takes a traditional (and rare) form, the ring jug, and adds a folk touch of the hyper-wide mouth. Great wood-firing effect on the pot, china teeth, a true monumental piece. Made in 2008.
