Brown Family Face Jug

The Brown family pottery legacy dates well back into the 19^th century.  Part of the NC lineage of the family settled in Arden, NC where they continue to turn pottery to this day.  Evan Brown Jr. ran Evan’s Pottery until his death in 2002.  His sister Cherry Brown Corn turned this face at the shop in 1987.  This jug features a shiny gunmetal glaze in the primitive traditional style of Brown family face jugs.  The jug stands 7 inches tall.
