Billy Ray Hussey Teapot

This teapot was created circa 1991 by Billy Ray Hussey (born 1955) as a special limited edition pot for the Southern Folk Pottery Collector Society. There's a gunmetal glaze with brown speckled accent. There are perfectly balanced melted glass runs off the spout and a tri-glass run off the handle. Classic form by Billy with the slightly angled spout being one of his trademarks. Billy makes very little pottery available for sale, learning originally from ML Owens in the 1970's, and opening his own shop about a quarter century ago. The condition is excellent.
